Book Review – To Kill a Kingdom

Book Review – To Kill a Kingdom

Hello everyone! I finished reading another book last week. Another great dark fantasy book by Alexandra Christo – To Kill a Kingdom. This is a story about a Siren name Princess Lira and a prince Name Elian.

Rating at 3.87 from Goodreads readers and I was influenced by most of the booktokers. This is my first purchased from Bookdepository, shipping took almost a month and I – almost give up. But I did purchased more books from Bookdepo.

Please pray for my patience

Lira – oh she’s a beauty

𐐪𐑂 What I like 𐐪𐑂

– Siren/Mermaid World and their power. The more I get to know them, the more excited I am

– Elian was a powerful characters, he knows how to act

– My level of curiosity to know how it ends, just blow off when the battle starts.

– I like how the story flows until the final battle

𐐪𐑂 Overall thoughts 𐐪𐑂

I’ve been wanting to read this book and this book doesn’t disappoint me. The main reason is because I am so intrigued on the plot. The more I read the more curious I become.

Reading this book is very easy, this is a great stand-alone book you can read. The beginning was not easy for me as I’m like ‘what the hell is siren / mermaid? How do they live? How did they exist?’ and more questions popping out of my head, but that wasn’t hard to follow.

So many questions but everything was so good

Damn yeah Sirens are so much darker than I imagined. Lira and Elian “enemy to lovers” troupe wasn’t giving me the expectation that I pictured. I didn’t feel the love-hate-romance but it was Okay because I am more interested to know about their missions.

“You are a little heartless today, aren’t you?”

“Never,” I say. “There are seventeen under my bed.”

my mind when i read this book

This book is a great stand-alone book. If you love dark magic, pirate and mermaid or siren, this book is for you. Lots of interesting characters, fighting scenes, enemy to lover theme, and what’s more?
