Reader Problems Book Tag

Every reader loves book. We reached for a book whenever we want to read. If there’s no book to read, this might be a problem to some of us. In my case, I have lots of books to read and my problem is I don’t have enough time read, that my number 1 problem. While there are 101 reader problems, here is a book tag created by Tiffany from Abouttoread, the Reader Problems Book Tag.

Reader Problems Book Tag

#1 You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

Seriously I only have like 30 books on my TBR book list and that is already cracking my head on deciding which one will I read first. Simple move I take is by reading the one that I have been waiting so long to read first. The one people are raving about, so I won’t be left behind.

#2 You are halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or committed?

It depend. I have few books I read halfway and never continue reading because #1 I hate how the story goes #2 I don’t get in touch with the main character, you know the character which are too weak for my liking.

There are also books that I still continue reading even if I am not loving it because I just want to know how the story ends. If it is a series, and I have finish the first book but not loving it, then that’s it, I will not be reading the second book.

#3 The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

Tried to catch up my Goodreads reading challenge last year but failed. In my opinion (in my situation of course), I don’t want to feel like I am forcing to complete something, I read because I enjoy reading. Not for a certain challenge.

#4 The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

It is okay to me. What matters is what inside a cover. But sometimes I do hope there is a better covers because beautiful cover makes my bookshelf looks prettier and I am happy whenever someone said ‘oh this book cover is so pretty’.

#5 Every one and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

Hmm, nowadays I feel no one near me are in the same ‘book lover’ team. It is totally fine with me. I have social media platform which I can share my love and feeling towards a book I love and any pairing I ship. We are never alone. Comment down below if you are the same situation like me.

#6 You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?
I just cry all the way. Don’t look at me like I am not human. We are human and we have feeling, even it is just a book story.

#7 A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis from Goodreads? Cry in frustration?

I read the synopsis through Goodreads first. But normally I will definitely remember how the story goes. If I have 24 hours free time, I will re-read or just scan through the book and read the chapters that I love the most (but eventually I will end up reading everything LOL)

#8 You do not want anyone. ANYONE. Borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

Depend on who is borrowing my book. I used to not let anyone borrowed my book. Lately I just let my friend borrowed my book, with a warning not to lose my book, return to me ASAP (I mean not to keep it forever like you actually own that valuable piece of mine), and never ever left any stain on my book.

#9 Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

I will wait till I am on the mood again. I watched booktuber, listen about all of their enthusiasm for books over and over and I will hopefully miss reading again.

#10 There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

Buy everything? Why wait when it is there in front of your eyes? I am dying to get that book so why not buy everything right? If I wait for the next month to buy it, what if it sold out? Damn. I have been there. So now, whenever there are new books I am dying to readm just grab it!.

#11 After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?
Urm, #1 problem. I will read it immediately or it will sit on my shelf until I have time to read, which sometimes will take years.

Do you know how exciting I was when doing this Reader Problems Book tag? I miss all my books. I’m gonna read tonight (it is actually 1 in the morning when I was writing this and I have an activity to do the next morning). Like crap why time is so cruel to me?

Do you ever feel you need extra free hours just to read?
