Melaka is not only a famous for its tourist spots but this small city also have so many tasty food to try out if you a foodie like me. If you are a food lover, come to Melaka and try out these delicious food that it can offers. These are my recommendation of 6 best foods to eat in Melaka.

Butter Chicken at Jiki Food Court
This is my number one recommendation for the best food in Melaka. If you visit Melaka, you have to try out the Butter Chicken at Jiki Food Court. This food court located on the corner lot of houses at Ayer Keroh. Inside this food court, they are few food stalls serving malay, chinese and indian foods. Look out for the stalls that sells this creamy and tasty Butter Chicken. One plate cost at RM7 and you can also add egg if you want to.
I bet you will want to eat this meal again because this infamous yet delicious buttermilk chicken is to die for and believe me I will come again to get a taste of this again.

Warong Hajah Robiah
If you want a variety of breakfast meal make sure to head out to Warong Hajah Robiah. This warong have few stalls that serve you nasi lemak, nasi ayam, nasi dagang, roti canai, mee rebus, cucur and others traditional breakfast meal. All food in just one stop. If you can’t choose what to eat, I suggest you to try out their Nasi Ayam. Make sure to come early here because this place is a hot spot!

Klebang Coconut Shake
The famous Coconut Shake in Melaka. The coconut shake is so creamy filled with vanilla ice cream – this drink is to die for. This original coconut shake located at Klebang is the one you should go. There are other stalls selling this but please come here to taste the original coconut shake. There are other foods you can try such as their nasi lemak (my favourite), keropok lekor (my favourite too) and their kueh.

Seri Muara Alai Ikan Bakar
If you want to try out seafood dish you can try here at Alai. They serves fresh seafood with affordable price. There are few seafood restaurant you can choose but I tried the number 2 restaurant and I enjoyed the food. You can choose a variety of seafood from fishes, prawns, crabs, squids and kerang. This place have a spacious parking lot so you don’t need to worry as this place will be crowded on the weekends.

Big Bowl Ice
This is another place for dessert. Big Bowl Ice serve you with shaved ice with delicious flavour such as mango, caramel, durian and lots more in a big bowl – just the right dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth. Even when I am already full after eating dinner, but how can I resist this tasty dessert? I tried the mango flavour top with the sweet mangos – taste magnificent!

Roti Canai Kayu Arang
One more top spot for an appetizing breakfast is at Roti Canai Kayu Arang. The name says it – roti canai cooked on kayu arang or charcoal. You should try the roti canai with egg or Roti Tampal. That’s the signature menu here. Taste voila! Other food you should try out is their nasi lemak sambal sotong. Roti canai and nasi lemak together with teh tarik, isn’t that sound heavenly to you?

Klebang Sand Dunes
This is a great place if you want to take photograph on a dessert like landscape. This white sand at Pantai Klebang comes from reclamation activities long time ago. The landscape totally worth your 30 minutes walk under the hot scorching sun. Prepare your sunglasses and OOTD – this is the spot for your instagram worthy shot.
How to find this place? Just waze Jalan Klebang Besar, it is located near the submarine museum.
Street Art
There are pretty murals and 3D arts along the street in Melaka which are famous among tourists. There are lots of them but some are hard to find. If you love taking pictures, make sure to explore every streets, along the river, between shops and if you couldn’t find them, you can always ask the local.
