My Bullet Journal and How You Can Start Yours

Sharing my bullet journal and how simple and easy it is that you also can start your own bullet journal.

Hello my sweet readers !

In this post I will share my bullet journal and how simple and easy it is that you also can start your own bullet journal.

I started my bullet journal on January this year as it is the best time for me to start my year by starting refresh and plan what I want to achieve by the end of the year.

Why I choose bullet journal system instead of the plain planner or diary system because in bullet journal I can personalize it the way I want. No pressure at all. Most importantly, I can have the most beautiful organizer in my life.

What is Bullet Journal?

Bullet journal is where you basically turn a notebook into a planner, a platform where you can write to do list, plan your meetings, track your progress, and many more things. To me, I note down the main things I need to do in my everyday life and I keep track of my habits, reading and spending. It is so good to know and look how I manage my day.

If you have multiple tasks you need to complete, events and meetings you need to attend, it is best you can note it down rather than stuffing everything in your head. This is why a planner is needed.

If you are still yet to have a planner for yourself, maybe you can start now and opt to have a bullet journal because this system is so easily to do. You can always change the layout to suite your preference.

I am not expert in Bullet Journal, I just love how the way this system works and how it made my life organize while I still can customize it to my own taste.

Before I start sharing my bullet journal and how you can start yours too, here is what you basically need to start one.

  • A planner or any notebook (line, dotted or blank page is up to you)
  • Set of stationery

Now let’s move to the main important part that forms a bullet journal which are:-

  • The daily / weekly / monthly planner – this contains all your task, meetings, deadline, etc
  • Future log – where you can view the whole year activity
  • Trackers or Collections – where you can list down anything you want to track

To make your bullet journal more accessible and easier to read, this is where index (able of contents), numbered pages and key or legend are needed.

How to start bullet journal?

First of all, you need to figure out what you want to do with the planner. Like me, I used the weekly overview so I can plan what to do on each day focusing on my goals (you can read my 2017 resolution here).

This planner system is so flexible that you don’t have to wait for January to get started. If you are interested already then find a notebook and start!

You can begin with doing your index, future log, monthly, weekly or daily overview is up to you. There are plenty of pretty layout for your collection list where you can find it on pinterest.
